  • Past Events -- Sunday, 15 February, 2009

Marti & I attended a Colorado Autism Commission testimony hearing on the 13th. The Commission was formed by Governor Ritter to put together a 10-year strategic plan for autism. They are putting together testimonies in the next couple of months for the plan. I gave my testimony about the needs for adults with autism, including the need for housing. Like Hawkeye Ranch Center for Autism. I am attaching the testimony form that can be printed & filled out. You can also go to their website to submit the form online & get list of dates of other meetings in the state. There is a meeting in Denver on February 26th at 2pm & most of the commissioners will be there. Hopefully the media will be there as well. There was no media coverage at meeting on the 13th. Send in your testimony or submit online to have your voices heard. Also send this to anyone you know who has autism or knows someone that does.
